Question: Can wool really be ‘kind’ to sheep

Answer: A lot of so-called ‘ethically produced’ wool is anything but kind. Such wool can simply be from sheep who are treated well on a farm. Often such sheep are dual purpose sheep and can be sent for slaughter, which in my opinion, is not kind or ethical. Then there are flocks which are slaughter-free in themselves but offspring may be sold. I do not use wool where the flocks are used for breeding.

Question: Where do you get slaughter-free sheep wool where sheep are also not used for breeding

Answer: I have a list of the wool providers I use here
